Andrew Barron

Canadian Director/ Missionary

Andrew Barron is Chief of Station at the Canadian branch of Jews for Jesus in Toronto. He was a science student whose studies in astronomy caused him to wonder about the vastness and complexity of the universe. In 1981, while helping to design and plan space shuttle missions for the United States Space Program, he came across a gospel pamphlet from Jews for Jesus and wrote a letter to the organization. One of the staff had a short speaking tour in Denver and arranged a meeting with Andrew to discuss Jesus. Shortly after their meeting, Andrew was convinced of Jesus’ Messiahship. He has served with the Los Angeles Branch, been a team leader on numerous Jews for Jesus Summer Witnessing Campaigns and pioneered the work of Jews for Jesus in South Africa. He and his wife, Laura (also a Jewish believer in Jesus) reside in North York, Ontario, with their three children Rafael, Ketzia and Simona.

Valerie Edwards

Valerie’s family background was not religious but traditional as they proudly celebrated their Jewish heritage. While living in France she had a dramatic experience that would forever alter her life.

When Valerie was 20 years old, a missionary came to visit her home to share the Gospel. At that time Valerie rejected and ridiculed the man’s offer to receive Jesus or Yeshua, but she was curious by nature so she began to explore Isaiah 53 and the New Testament, which the missionary had left. After much study, Valerie felt convicted and chose to receive Yeshua as her Messiah. This decision had a great impact on her family who rejected her faith. Valerie eventually felt led to move from France to Israel, where through the course of events and miracles she became a resident of Jerusalem.

Today, Valerie is married and living in Texas. She is involved in doing Jewish Evangelism via Skype to the French and Hebrew speaking Jews of Canada and she feels incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to share the love of Messiah with her Jewish people.
